heyyyyyy~ happy 2006 everyone!! :D
went for the countdown at marina yesterday and i really enjoyed it loads!! loads loads! :D went to meet farrah and her 2 friends cindy and bayleen at city hall mrt station after work, and we went to get some dinner at the Food Junction. wow.. were we crappy! farrah was like, laughing so loudly i bet almost half the ppl in the food court could hear! :X actually i had planned on meeting up with hongchia and kiawee, but no fate la.. in the end we didnt meet, cos the place was just too crowded!
the 4 of us went to the esplanade right after eating dinner and we bought these chocolate-dipped fruits which are priced pretty ok, even though i could hear my own heart cracking everytime i bit into my chocolate and nut dipped banana. oh well.. the dessert was still great, will give it another try another time(that is, if i have the money). we were quite early in reaching the stage area, and we got a front row seat in front of the big screen to the right of the stage. haaa. -FAST FWD- the crowd was so huge, there is no space to even squeeze back to my front row seat after a trip to the toilet! despite the huge turn-out, things were rather dead. very dead. the crowd was just there with no expression on their faces. i didnt even dare clap to some nice tune because the crowd was SO dead. 3 hours of desperate singers trying to captivate the audience and get them in high mode, but damn unsuccessful. the crowd only got alive at 11+pm! oh well. better late than never? LOL. so there we were, anticipating~ fireworks, 2006, fireworks, 2006..
the fireworks were GREAT!! absolutely beautiful, and the crowd went real HIGH. as high as the tallest building at raffles place. lol~ the fireworks somehow signified to me that it was a brand new beginning, and a really bright one at that. this year i'll be going to marina again, anyone wanna go with me? 364 more days to go. lol~
